غرب شناسی بنیادی

چکیده

غرب شناسی دانشی است که به شناخت داشته­های مغرب زمین می­پردازد. در این دانش، «غرب» به مثابه «دیگری» سوژه شناسایی قرار می­گیرد تا پس از این شناخت بتوان بهتر از گذشته تعاملات و ارتباطات را تنظیم نمود. شناختِ دیگری، با توجه به ذووجوه بودنِ انسان و هستی، نیازمند اتخاذ رویکردی میان­رشته­ای/فرارشته­ای است. بدون «تلفیق» و صرفا کنار هم قرار دادن دانش­های گوناگون، آنهم به شکلی مکانیکی، رویکرد میان­رشته­ای/فرارشته­ای تحقق نخواهد یافت. با وجود ماهیتِ میان­رشته­ای غرب­شناسی تحقیقاتی که تاکنون صورت پذیرفته است لزوماً اینگونه نبوده­اند و بنابر نوع پژوهش، برچسب­هایی چون: نا/ چند/ فرا/ زیر رشته­ای به آنها اطلاق می­شود. گونه­های میان­رشته­ای پیرامون «غرب­شناسی» را در دو قالب اساسی می­توان دسته­بندی کرد: میان­رشتگی انتقادی/ نظری. انتقادی، اولین گونه از میان­رشتگی است که مرتبط با «غرب­شناسی» شکل گرفته­ است. این مطالعات «متن­محور» بوده و نگاه و رویکرد تاریخی بر آنها غلبه دارد. سوگیری قابل توجّهی در این گونه مشاهده می­شود. میان­رشتگی نظری اخیرترین گونه محسوب می­شود که به بررسی دنیای واقعی و جوامع زنده کنونی می­پردازد. مطالعات نمونه­محور و مبتنی بر مفهوم­سازی دیالکتیک و هم­چنین گردهمایی­ها با رویکرد میان­رشته­ای مهمترین دسته از این مطالعات محسوب می­شوند. این نوع را به­عنوان متکامل­ترین دسته­از از پژوهش­های میان­رشته­ای پیرامون غرب­شناسی می­توان به حساب آورد.
